OUR GRANTS

As a charitable organization, Rose Pak Community Fund makes grants to a broad range of groups and institutions that promote social welfare throughout the Bay Area. Our philanthropic approach, and our core areas of grantmaking, remain connected to the ethos and values of Rose Pak, a true San Francisco icon who remains a guiding light for our community.

Since 2017, Rose Pak Community Fund and its similar named affiliate have awarded over $720,000 in grants to programs and projects directly affecting Chinatown and the AAPI community. These grants span diverse areas, including economic vitality, public health, education and future leadership training, and civic engagement participation.

Grant applications are by invitation only.

HIGHLIGHTS

Self-Help for the Elderly

In a partnership with Amazon, RPCF awarded a grant to Self-Help for the Elderly to support their Senior Safety Escort Program. The grants supported four senior escorts and drivers to provide on-demand door-to-door transportation services to seniors citywide. The grant also expanded the program by dedicating a new electric vehicle exclusively for the program.

Chinatown Merchants United Association

RPCF awarded one of the largest merchant organizations in Chinatown a grant to assist small businesses with additional safety and security measures. These include new surveillance cameras and alarm systems to help small businesses deter criminal activities and potentially provide law enforcement with additional surveillance footage when a crime occurs.
